About Pastor Steven R. Woods
Steven R. Woods is the Senior Pastor of Living Word Faith Center, ‘A ministry where Jesus is Lord and Results Happen in the Lives of Believers.’ This God-ordained ministry started out as a bible study in Pastor Steve’s home in 2000 and has grown to become one sought out in the city of New Albany and surrounding counties. Pastor Woods believes and knows that the key to a successful ministry is praying in the Spirit and being led by the Holy Ghost. He’s given himself to God’s Word and walks in the Grace for the call.
Pastor Woods was born again in 1995 and baptized with the Holy Ghost. After being baptized in the Holy Ghost, he captured the knowledge of the Truth that is both hidden and exhibited in the Word of God. Knowing who he is in Christ, what belongs to him, and what he can do in Christ. He was called to ministry in 1996 and served in the youth ministry at Good News Church (Life Connection Church) in Blue Mountain, MS under the leadership of Pastor Mickey and Suellen Estes. Sensing the call of God upon his life, Pastor Woods began to do the work of an Evangelist by hosting revivals, whether it was under a tent or in a church. Pastor Steve has embarked on the journey of ministry and God has outpoured many gifts into his life. He operates proficiently in the ministry of Revelation Knowledge. He also currently serves as a member of LTMA Association, under the leadership of Apostle Leroy Thompson in Darrow, LA.
Pastor Woods was united in holy matrimony to Darlene Woods in 1993 and their covenant together was one that God looks upon and smiles, knowing that their purpose together brought greatness to His kingdom and joy to others lives that they came into connection with. Together they have 3 wonderful children, Trevor Allen who has gone home to be with the Lord, Stephen Micah, 10 and Zion Elizabeth, 7. Pastor Darlene transitioned to her home with the Lord in September 2013, but the love and the legacy that she shared for God and the ministry is ongoing. Darlene not only served as his wife, but also alongside him as co-pastor, ministering the Word of God.
